Mascots and Accessories Commission Price List

Due to the nature of one of a kind creations, each Commission is priced individually.
That being said, this list will give you a rough idea of minimum quotes.

Yarn Tails

My tails are made of high quality new yarn hand tied to a strong base.  I can do many colors and patterns.  If you aren't sure if I can do a specific pattern, just ask. . .I'm always up for a challenge.  Tails come standard with a two inch set of belt loops (to keep tail firmly in place and to prevent wandering tail syndrome.)  The rope/yarn base moves freely and looks great when you walk.  The best part is that a yarn tail can be mashed into a zip lock for traveling.  To restore your tail, simply hold on to the loops, and whip it back and forth a couple of times.  A quick run through with your fingers and you're set!  I work in a smoke free home.

Standard Long length yarn tail.

Because of the versatility of the medium, I can work in just about any color or texture you desire.  Tails come in a standard, short, medium, or long pile, but can be made at any pile length to order.  Tails do not have to be made of yarn, I can work in just about any media you wish.

Standard short length is 25"
Standard long tail length is 35"
Other sizes available on request.

For more tail examples, please visit my yarn tail gallery.

Short length yarn tails start at $55
Long length yarn tails start at $75

Faux Fur Tails

I can add  sewn or airbrushed markings, and can work in any color combination/faux fur length you like to customize these looks to best fit your concept.

The "Nox" tail:

This is a long cat styled tail.  It is lightly stuffed with polyfill, and has a nice natural shape.  It bounces nicely as you walk.  For size reference, the model is 5'5".

The "Trixie" tail:

This upright tail has a foam core, and bounces and sways beautifully as you move.  I tend to use elastic belt loops on this one for an even better "wagging" motion.

The "Shadow" tail:

This fox tail is HUGE.  Lightly stuffed polyfill center.  This one hangs very naturally, and has enough shaping to it to avoid the static "tube tail" look that you see with a lot of the larger fox tails on the market.

The "Wolf" tail:

This is a medium sized tail that is stiffed lightly with polyfill.

The "Gnoll" tail:

These are made very similarly to the yarn tails (listed above), but instead, I am using fake hair and attaching it to a fabric base.  I initially designed this for a gnoll/hyena costume for a live action roleplaying event.  It is a very cute little tail, and tends to run no longer than 20" or so (though I can make them whatever length you please).

Nox style tail: $100
Trixie style tail: $75
Shadow style Tail: $100
Wolf tail: $75
Gnoll tail: $45

(Complex markings or multiple faux fur colors will alter the pricing, please ask for a quote!)

Collars

My collars are all hand made from quality belt blanks, or medium weight craft leather.  I can work in other mediums as well. I have access to many kinds of studs, spikes, and rings.  I also am able to loom beads, and can do custom paint work.  All of my leatherwork is made to order, and fully customizable.  Email me if you have questions about what I can and can't do.

I also have experience making bracers, wristbands, belts, and gauntlets.
For more leatherwork examples, please visit my leatherwork gallery.

Leatherwork is priced to order.

Collars usually run anywhere from $25 to $45
+ .

Unitards

I can hand paint unitards that you purchase and send my way, or I can create a unitard made to your measurements.
All of my paint work is heat set, and is reasonably durable.  A painted body suit will need to be touched up and refreshed from time to time, and I am glad to do that for a nominal fee.

Wigs

My wigs are made from fake hair on a stretchy base.  They can either be made as a wig shape, or a balaclava base.  They are soft and easily styled.  I can make "Cats" style ears out of longer pile hair, or carve them out of foam and fur them with high quality fake fur.
Your imagination is the limit.

Gothenburg styled Mungojerrie in fake hair.

Freestyled Rumpleteazer- fake hair.

This freestyled "Munkustrap" wig is made of "Jumbo Braid" Synthetic material.

Half wigs:

Half wigs are basically the front half of one of my standard wigs.  I make a soft cloth headband with ears and ear flaps (to hide your human ears).  They are super light weight, nice and airy,  and great for characters who have long hair.

For more examples, please visit my gallery.  All wigs and other hair work pictured were crafted by me unless otherwise stated.

Due to a wool allergy, I do not offer wigs made from crepe wool.
Thank you for understanding.

Fake Hair Wigs start at $125
Half wigs start at $60

"Use Your Own Eyes" Heads and Masks

Shadow and Tahlorn at FC08.  Shadow (front) is a cold foam head (No longer available), and Tahlorn (behind) is carved foam.

For more examples, please visit my Head Gallery.
These heads or masks are intended to use your own eyes and employ black stage makeup to disguise the transition from face to mask.

My "use your own eyes" heads and masks are hand carved using the same process as the more traditional mascot heads listed below.  They are very light weight and easy to wear.  The compact design looks great for partial suits!

Details:
~ Working or static jaw
~ Taxidermy eyes, 3d eyes, and plastic bowl eyes. (Keeping to the small scale.)
~ Hair work can be laid in by hand using a veriety of textiles.
~Longer hair effects can be achieved with fake hair (used for loose extensions and dread making).
~  I can use wigs as well.
~ Basic airbrush work is included in the price of the commission.  Extensive airbrush work will be determined by the piece.
~Latex nose, custom made for your head (Toony or semi realistic)

Pricing is the same as Mascot Heads (below)

Mascot Heads

Sammy the Seahawk.  Commissioned by Cabrillo College 2006.

Cody Coon is a toony styled mascot scale head, and sports 3d "follow me" styled eyes.  Owner and model: LatinVixen 2007.

Trixie the Husky has 3D "follow me" eyes, as well as some hair work for her bangs.  Owner and Model: Platona 2010.

For more examples, please visit my Head Gallery.

Custom carved mascot and cosplay heads.  Carved foam heads can run a full scale from realistic to toony.   Even though these heads are hand carved, I still try to keep them compact and close fitting.  If you want a giant super toony head, I can try but am more comfortable working in a smaller scale.

Details:
~These heads are made from carved foam and a cloth balaclava base.  They are light weight, comfortable, and based around vision and wearability.  Each project is one of a kind.
~I will gladly work with you in the design process to make sure you get exactly what you want.
~All heads come with semi working jaws unless you request a static one, or the design does not permit the mechanism for a moving jaw. (For example, equines with long faces are difficult to design with a moving jaw.)

Options:
~Latex cast noses and jaw sets for realistic heads
~3D eyes (also known as follow me eyes)
~Plastic bowl eyes
~Use your own eyes
~Wigs or extensive hair work
~Air brushed detail and markings

If you have a design idea and want to see weather or not I could manage it, please send me an email and we can discuss our options.

Carved heads start at $750

Craft Hats

This piece was made for Cajame the Deerdancer for SJSU's production of the "Mummified Deer".

Beast for SJSU's performance of Beauty and the Beast.

Peacock hat owned by Chris Taylor.  Created October 2010.

Craft Hats, Masks, and Props gallery.

Craft Hats make great accessories, can be considered costumes in their own right, and look great hanging on the wall!

A Craft Hat is light weight, fun, and really easy to wear.  They are built on adjustable bases, so can fit anyone!  This is the most comfortable and breathable costume option out there, and will allow the user to wear glasses (where my more traditional heads do not).

My Craft Hats have been used by professional theatres as well as individuals.

Craft Hats start at $400

Con Feet, Hands, Sleeves, and Legs

Feline Con Feet for AnimeCat.

These "Con feet" belong to Blaez (who is larger than I am...they aren't baggy on him.)

Fleece dragon feet.

For more examples, please visit the Bits and Pieces Gallery.

I call my feet "con feet" as the pattern is based off a set of Converse or similarly comfortable and low profile shoes.  These feet allow you to slide them on over the shoe and zip them up the back.  No sacrificial shoes, no slippers with broken down foam.  Just your shoes and some close fitting paw socks that zip on top. The design creates a nice compact and durable foot paw.

When you commission these feet, I will need the shoes that you will want to wear with these feet.  If you can, mail me your shoes, or a set of duct tape dummy feet of you wearing your shoes.  Either way, I'll need something for sizing.  (general measurements do not work with this style of feet)  There are no generic sizes to these paws, each set is specifically patterned to you and your favorite set of "con shoes".

"Slipper paws" can be worn without shoes as soft and warm fuzzy feet (generally lined with polar fleece fabric).
They are extremely small scale, and can work with tight fitting partial suits as well as being warm and comfortable for around the house/con wear.  They come standard with a rubber bottom, though I can do a decorative fleece or leather bottom as well.

Hands can be made with three or four fingers.  Pawpads are stitched, and claws are optional.  Hands currently come in generic small or large sizes.

Achillies is a partial suit with arms/sleeves.  Worn here by his commissioner at FC 2012.  Photo by Lionel Lum.

My sleeves/arms are shoulder height and come attached to a spendex base to be worn under your shirt.  This method produces arms that will never slip down.  Legs are done in basically the same way- spandex shorts to be worn under your own clothing, with fuzzy legs attached.

Con Feet with rubber bottoms start at $150
Con Feet with layered leather or rubber paw pads (or other shapes) start at $175
"Basic" style paws (based on slippers or some other "sacrificial base") start at $125
"Slipper paws" start at $145
Hands Start at $100

Sleeves/arms  or legs start at $50

Full, Partial, and Hybrid Costumes

Shamira is a good example of a spandex suit.  Photo supplied by the talented Monoceros Media.

Shadow is a partial costume (head, hands, arms, feet, tail).  Photo supplied by the talented Monoceros Media.

Nox is a small scale partial costume (Head hands tail).  I built all of her clothing as well.  Photo credit goes to Lionel Lum.

LeeLoo is a hybrid fursuit- a combination of fursuit pieces and a velvet body suit.  LeeLoo is being modeled by her owner.

Please check out my on line gallery.

A "half suit" consists of a head, hands, feet, and tail (arms and legs may be added.)  A half suit or partial suit is generally much cooler than the more traditional styled mascot suits as you aren't wearing a fake fur body.  Half suits are smaller to pack for traveling, and allow you to easily dress up the character by using things from your own closet.

A hybrid fursuit is basicaly a half suit with an added velvet bodysuit.

I do not offer full scale traditional fursuits at this time.  I feel that my personal style lends itself better to compact partial or hybrid suits.

If you are interested in a costume, please email me and we can discuss the details.

Half suits start at $1,000
Hybrid fursuits start at $1,400
Full spandex based costumes start at $800

Accessories and Pieces

I am now offering layered felt hats and warmers.  Details are layered on and hand stitched in place for that rugged "not machine perfect" look.  I can also sew on the machine as well giving you the choice between an organic or cleanly constructed look.  Either way you will receive a snuggly and durable hat.

Rose Quoll in one of my fleece hats (photo used with her kind permission).  Other items also pictured are knit warmers and yarn tail.

Giant ears!  I can work in all shapes and sizes.

My ears are worn with an elastic band rather than a hard plastic headband or wire.  The elastic I use is very lightweight, and will often totally disappear in one's hair. These ears are fairly light and very easy to wear for a long amount of time.  As you can see I can achieve fairly large shapes using this method.  The ears have a wide and stable base to keep them from sliding or flopping around.

If you're on a budget, I can also create ears out of fleece.

My horns are cast out of light weight resin and are held on similarly to the ears.  These horns can also be bought on their own to add do another costume.

Balaclavas
Generic balaclavas for your own costume creations! These are created from four way stretch milliskin or moleskin (same thing I use for my custom body suits), and features sturdy surged seam construction. I Make them closed faced, so you can mark out your eyes and cut them to your specific shapes that you like. This allows for more coverage, and a better shape/fit because you are able to mark it based on your own facial structure. The fabric is nice as it does not run, and you can cut it without fear of fraying.

Light weight balaclavas are made from milliskin or tricot.  They are strong, but light weight and breathable.
Heavy Weight balaclavas are made from moleskin.  The material is nice and thick, while remaining breathable.

I tend to wear mine "inside out" so that the seam is on the outside and away from the face. Any foaming or furring will hide this seam without trouble.

Right now I have a generic size that fits a little loosly on my tiny 21.5" head, and fits snugly and comfortably on my husband's 24.5" head.

Gloves

These are simple, made to order gloves (I currently have a generic size, but will happily work up custom patterns as well.)  They work well for basic character gloves.  I can make them anywhere from wrist length to opera length, and can do full fingers (pictured above) or half fingers (fingers end roughly at your first knuckle.)  I use high quality milliskin or tricot, and can order this fabric in a wide variety of colors (or work up a custom dye job).
They are seamed around the fingers (no gussets), and there is a seam aorund the join of the thumb.

Ears start at $40 a pair
Fleece ears/horns start at $25 a pair
Large resin horns start at $150 a pair *coming soon*
Simple or small resin horns start at $75 *coming soon*

Felt warmers start at $15 a set

Simple light weight Balaclavas $8 including shipping, $9 for non US buyers

Jewelry

For more examples, and an idea of what beads I have in stock, feel free to visit my Jewelry Gallery.

I work in both human and fursuit scale. I have several colors of the round letters for name bracelets
(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black), as well as both gold and silver
colored blocks. The letters are acrylic or plastic, and the other beads are all fine
Japanese glass. Want stones, or specialty fancy beads? I'll gladly make one as fancy as you please-
I can even get my hands on swarovski crystal beads. (priced per piece).

Fursuit scale beads are ceramic block letters, with plastic pony beads in a variety of colors
(including some metallics and glow in the dark). I wore a Shadow bracelet with my partial and can
vouch that these beads can take a beating and still look great.
They are large enough that they don't totally disappear into the fur.

Name Bracelets start at $8
Choker style necklaces start at $15

A flat color costume planner will include all of the info found in a sketch, but will be digitally colored to your specifications.
This is not fine art, but rather a clear, concise image perfect for costume construction.  Price includes minor revisions.
Excessive changes will result in a further charge.
